In recent weeks it would have been hard to miss Jason Akermanis and his comments about Jim Stynes, but there has been one lingering comment he’s said that has stuck with me, and it was more or less cemented by something I heard on (of all things) the Top30 Count Down driving into work tonight.

1000 PSN Trophies
It’s taken in the vicinity of 3-4 years of casual gaming, but I’ve finally hit the 4 digit 1000 trophy mark on PSN.

Optus win for online PVRs
Today Optus won the initial battle vs Telstra, the AFL, and the NRL, in it’s recording and rebroadcasting to mobile devices. This will no doubt be appealed of course. (Full ruling here).
Fundamentally this case hinged on the deal between Telstra and the AFL and NRL with regards to mobile broadcasting of their games, but I believe the ruling in this case extends beyond that.
